What's Up

Also coming up on Nov. 2 is the Heritage Village Artisian Festival in Largo, FL.

It's a day-long celebration of the artists in Pinellas County.

This year they are adding WALT AND FRIENDS STORYTELLING at 10 am and 2 pm in the village.  We'll be near the old fire station and vintage firetruck.

In October, I will be in the Liar's Contest at the Hagood Mill Storytelling Festival in Pickens, S.C.   Back for my second year. I came in third place last year.  Gotta lie better this time.

The Suncoast Storytellers are returning for another Halloween show at the Tampa Theatre on October 20.   Got a ghost story for that one.

This is my third year as a board member of the Florida Storytelling Association and we are gearing up for another Florida Storytelling Festival in Mount Dora on the last weekend in January.

I am set to share stories with the Florida Historical Society in January.

And oh my, I'm honored to be invited to address students at 65th Annual Conference and Awards Banquet on November 14-15, 2024, at the College of Central Florida in Ocala, Florida.

What a summer I've had.   In addition to going to Edinburgh for The Fringe,

I went to Atlanta where I got to take the stage at The Moth.

There were nearly 200 in the audience and about 30 of them threw their names in the ring to tell.  I got picked as the 10th and final teller.    The audience loved my story about going undercover (literally) at a full body shampoo to ease sexual tension.
